On September 10th we celebrated the success of the work done by MACS in Downpatrick and surrounding areas. We would like to thank the young people and staff who gave their time and considerable talent to make the day a success.
Our guest speaker was Margaret Ritchie, MP, who emphasised the importance of the work that MACS does in this community. The three young people who spoke at the event – Michaela, Paddy and Tanya – blew us all away with their confidence and honesty in sharing their stories and the difference MACS has made in their lives.
Congratulations to the 8 young people who completed the NVQ2 course! All young people were presented certificates and £50 voucher on 28/06/10 by Alice Quinn, CEO of North City Business Centre and Mary. Some young people are going to take part in Prince’s Trust in September and would like further courses to take part in Macs office when appropriate.
A big thank you to Elizabeth Scollay (Ciara’s Mum) for helping to raise £205 at BMC student art exhibition.
Thank you for all your support!
Here is the group planner for the year 2010-2011.
On Friday 23rd April we had the Young People’s Vision Day. We are very grateful to the 17 young people who gave us their time, energy and ideas. Thank you all so much for coming along and for your enthusiasm throughout the day! Thank you also to the staff for promoting the event with your young people and for getting them along on the day!
