If you are aged 16-25 and are homeless, at risk of homelessness or need help maintaining your tenancy, Floating Support can help you. It’s called Floating Support because we float the service out to you.

Macs Floating HandbookYou will have an individual support plan that will be regularly reviewed to make sure we are still helpful to you, and we can work with you for up to two years. We can help you with:

  • Setting up and maintaining your home
  • Being a good neighbour
  • Managing your money
  • Training, education & job seeking

  • Your emotional wellbeing & physical health

MACS Belfast covers the geographical areas of North, South, East and West Belfast.

Referral Process

We accept referrals from a range of services/organisations and young people can also self-refer. Support is on a voluntary basis and the young person must want to engage with the service.

Contact will be made with the young person within the first two weeks, on receipt of referral for a getting to know you meeting. A match meeting will determine if and when a young person will receive support. The young person and referrer will be informed of the decision.

Priority is given to cases with high need. Should there be a waiting list, a young person will not be on this for longer than three months.
