Take on the Belfast City Marathon for MACS Supporting Children and Young People and help children and young people across Northern Ireland move away from homelessness and towards safe, independent lives.

Why Run for MACS?

Every year in Northern Ireland, thousands of young people face housing crisis, sofa-surfing, temporary accommodation or homelessness.

MACS works early, before crisis becomes chronic.

We support young people with:

  • Safe housing and tenancy sustainment
  • Emotional wellbeing and trauma-informed care
  • Life skills and independence
  • Education, training and employment pathways
  • When you run for MACS, your miles become stability, confidence and second chances.

Who Can Take Part?

You do not need to be a seasoned runner.

You can:

  • Run the full marathon
  • Join a relay team with colleagues or friends
  • Walk the course at your own pace
  • Take part in the wheelchair event
  • Whatever your pace, you can be part of Team MACS.

What You’ll Receive

  • A MACS running vest
  • Fundraising support and ideas
  • Regular encouragement and check-ins
  • The chance to make a real, lasting impact for young people

This is about showing young people that people care.

It is about communities stepping up.

It is about believing that youth homelessness can end.
