As part of #DementiaActionWeek MACS teamed up with Radius Housing to help give back to the community.
The MACS’ guys and girls headed up to the Brook Assisted Living Facility in Coleraine to participate in a Gardening Project, aimed at helping those living with Dementia.
The team got stuck in from the get go and really enjoyed meeting some of the lovely residents at the Brook. There were plenty of laughs to be had as they worked their green fingers to the bone! We definitely have a few ‘budding’ gardeners in the making!
Our thirsty gardeners were treated to some yummy dinner on both days and this was really appreciated!
MACS would like to say a massive ‘Thank You’ to everyone at the Brook for being so welcoming to our team; it was truly a pleasure to give back to the community and to work with such a wonderful and endearing group of people.
Also a big thanks to Deirdre Carr and the team at Radius Housing for allowing us to participate in such a wonderful and worthwhile project; our guys and girls had a great experience!
