Trips to the Mountains of Mourne are becoming very popular with our young people and their volunteers. Glenn and his mentor, Jamie have done a lot of outdoors activities and plenty of hill walking so far in their match.
With Glenn showing a real enthusiasm for it, they applied for a special fund to buy walking boots. No better a walk to christen the boots, than a hike up Slieve Donard Summit, Mourne Mountains, right?
Glenn and Jamie made the venture up with the weather being very kind to them in the beginning……conditions definitely got a lot harder as they progressed, but amazingly they both reached the summit.
