Last New Year’s Eve, I found myself being asked to leave my home and I became homeless. I spent some time sofa surfing, sleeping on couches, going between friends.
I spent some time sofa surfing; sleeping on couches, going between friends. With my MACS worker Ciara and working with the Housing Executive, I managed to get my own tenancy and I was the happiest girl in the world.
Though over the last 7 months there have been some tough times, I’ve come a long way since last Christmas, got keys to my new house and in that time I’ve made it into an amazing girly home! I even did my own wallpapering!
Now I’m looking forward to my first Christmas in my new home and have just decorated it into a beautiful cosy winter wonderland. MACS is so proud of me!
