Our CEO, Kate Martin, was delighted to welcome Prince William to Belfast today for the launch of the Royal Foundation’s Homewards UK programme which aims to eradicate homelessness across the UK.
MACS had the opportunity to share insights and ideas from a local perspective as a charity with a longstanding history of working with young people experiencing or at high risk of homelessness across Northern Ireland. Kate also raised the issue of staffing and finding ways to make employment in the homelessness and housing sector a more attractive career prospect.
We very much look forward to being part of Homewards, alongside a coalition of local partners, to tackle the root causes of homelessness, especially for us, youth homelessness prevention.
