On Wednesday, MACS Downpatrick held a garden party as the official grand opening of our outdoor space… and what a day it was!
The support workers and young people have been hard at work building and painting garden furniture and painting this. We’ve also started growing our own herbs and vegetables to use in our Sunday dinners with young people.
We’re currently growing parsley, marjoram, oregano, thyme, lavendar, lollo rosso, rosemary, sage, spring onions and potatoes!
Our MACS bakers came out in force and put on a lovely spread of homemade treats for our guests which included staff and young people from across MACS, the local housing executive staff and some of our Youth Justice Neighbours. A great day was had by all in the sunshine!!
