Everyone deserves a place fit to call home ?. Yet with a shortage of new properties, outdated rental stock and a lack of support for the vulnerable, many people end up in unsuitable, unsafe, or unaffordable accommodation.
Nationwide Building Society members decided they wanted to give something back to the community. They opened up a scheme for local organisations to apply for a grant to help alleviate the housing crisis.
MACS applied and were successful with our proposal for an Intensive Floating Support Worker for young people that are leaving Hydebank Wood College.
This exciting new role will allow us to work to prevent repeat homelessness and reoffending through an intensive floating support model. We’re so appreciative to Nationwide for allowing us to develop this role and address this much needed gap for our young people.
