We want to hear from you if:
- You are a competent singer with a musical background
- You have the confidence to train and rehearse MACS Singers
- You can lead and direct MACS Singers to perform at local events and have good fun in the process.
- You wish to help a fantastic charity in a unique and different way
MACS Singers were formed in 2013 and rehearse weekly in MACS Offices on the Ormeau Road.
We were established to:
- Encourage young people who use MACS and people from the local community to come together to form a singing group, and to
- raise funds and increase the profile of local charity MACS Supporting Children and Young People
Our much loved musical director has had to leave suddenly and we require a new leader to take up the position. MACS Singers is 14+ strong established group and we are currently recruiting new singers in all voices. We do not hold auditions and we do not expect singers to be able to read music.
We are a friendly lot and enjoy our singing in a fun but serious way. We sing a variety of music – folk, blues, motown to rock, soul and pop, seasonal songs and songs from musicals.
